They will be dedicated to bring the Performing Arts to life for students both within lessons and beyond them, through opportunities such as productions, clubs and competitions.</p>\n<p>The Performing Arts Department benefits from first class facilities and accommodation including an impressive theatre with up-to-date sound and lighting equipment, drama and dance studios, the latter of which has a sprung floor, two dedicated music teaching rooms and practice rooms.</p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that there is a clear vision for the Performing Arts curriculum across KS3, 4 and 5. They will ensure these aims are underpinned with carefully sequenced schemes of work that support students of all abilities to master the disciplines and achieve excellent academic outcomes. They will be responsible for ensuring that curriculum planning is consistently of a high quality, clearly defining the essential knowledge and skills that students must grasp to progress. They will work to ensure that there is equity in curriculum delivery between teachers and classes.</p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be confident in analysing data, and using the conclusions they draw to drive progress. They will have a sharp understanding of what excellent teaching looks like, and previous experience of successfully supporting colleagues with developing their practice.</p>\n<p>The Curriculum Leader for Performing Arts role at King’s Academy Easthampstead Park is regarded as a senior curriculum leadership position, and as a result, comes with additional non-contact time for the Curriculum Leader for Performing Arts to undertake their leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will be expected to attend leadership meetings and work closely with Senior Leaders and fellow Curriculum Leaders on whole-school curriculum leadership.
