Our focus is to help develop brighter futures for all our students.</p>\n<p>We are looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing person to join our skilled team of Teaching and Learning Assistants. Our staff are vital to ensuring pupils achieve their full potential and become confident, resilient and compassionate individuals.</p>\n<p>The successful applicant will need:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience of working with relevant age groups within a learning environment</li>\n<li>Good numeracy and literacy skills</li>\n<li>Experience of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, in small groups and within the classroom</li>\n<li>Ability/experience of a variety of behaviour management strategies</li>\n<li>Able to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities</li>\n<li>Able to use basic technology – computer, photocopier, etc.</li>\n<li>Able to be flexible, willing to change routines and strategies at short notice</li>\n<li>An awareness of and commitment to the school’s training off and implementation of new strategies</li>\n<li>An awareness of and commitment to the council’s Equal Opportunities Policy.</li>\n<li>An awareness of and commitment to the council’s Safeguarding procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Duties include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise and support pupils, ensuring safety and access to learning</li>\n<li>Establish good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to their needs</li>\n<li>Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils</li>\n<li>Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher</li>\n<li>Liaise with the class teacher and SENCO regarding pupils’ IEPs and targets</li>\n<li>Implement targeted support programs as advised by the SENCO and Professional Agencies (i.e. Speech and Language)</li>\n<li>Develop appropriate resources to support pupils as directed</li>\n<li>Supervise pupils during Break and Lunchtimes, adhering to the school behaviour policy at all times</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Closing date for applications: Friday 17 January 2024 at 9am </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Job Start date:</strong> As soon as possible</p>\n<p><em>Please note that all applications will be considered upon receipt and interviews may take place prior to closing date.
