6) £24,790 - £25,183 per annum plus 4 hours contractual overtime","publishDate":"2025-04-16T14:40:00.000Z","expirationDate":"2025-05-11T22:59:00.000Z","logoUri":"https://www.jobsgopublic.com/logos/logos/1112f590-091c-4571-8a7a-49fafb58e1c4.png","score":1,"featured":false,"enhanced":false},{"id":"d1b64195-e56c-47cf-9d33-fc7eb44bcd2a","title":"Driver 2 – Street Cleansing","employer":"Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council","department":"","location":"Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council, Hawthorne Road Depot","locationType":3,"description":"<p>Can be required to work at any of the Council Depots as required by the service.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hawthorne Road, Bootle</li>\n<li>Formby Depot, Formby Bypass</li>\n<li>Tulketh Street, Southport</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE</strong></p>\n<p>Undertake cleansing activities as required such as litter, detritus, weed and fly tipping removal.</p>\n<p>Will be required to work in any area of the Borough, maintaining optimum cleanliness, operating equipment as necessary – training will be provided. </p>\n<p><strong>MAIN DUTIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive and take responsibility for the assigned vehicle (up to 7.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight) and operate any power mechanisms as appropriate.</li>\n<li>Clean the vehicle to the required standard, undertake regular vehicle checks (and ancillary equipment checks were appropriate), and carry out routine maintenance (see specific details on Driver’s Checklist)</li>\n<li>Report any vehicle defects or accidents immediately to the appropriate person.</li>\n<li>Load and unload the vehicle, using mechanical aids as necessary and ensure sufficient supplies and equipment are loaded onto the vehicle daily/weekly.</li>\n<li>Complete all necessary paperwork.</li>\n<li>Tip any collected rubbish/spoils/waste/etc as per the defined standards and practices.</li>\n<li>Transport goods, personnel, and equipment as appropriate.</li>\n<li>Undertake ancillary duties as appropriate to the type of work being done.</li>\n<li>Using mobile technologies, maintain communication in accordance with the Council’s procedures and Statutory Regulations, and organise daily workloads.</li>\n<li>Liaise with the Waste Management Officer as necessary to implement amendments to the route plan to ensure optimum efficiency.</li>\n<li>Act as first point of contact with the Waste Management Officer to assist with the communication flow between management and staff re operational issues.</li>\n<li>Ensure that crew members adhere to operational requirements i.e. Wearing of personal protective equipment.</li>\n<li>Duties will be carried out for jobs up to and including those in the same grade, provided such duties are within the competence of the employee.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of the Sefton borough would be advantageous.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Must have the ability to work in locations such as rear entries, removing fly tipping, animal faeces/carcass etc. and undertake all recording methods as directed by management either via paper documentation or electronic, as required.</p>\n<p>Applicants must have the ability to demonstrate reliability, excellent punctuality and good attendance.  A commitment to work overtime to meet the needs of the service is required.</p>\n<p>Interviews to be held week commencing 19/05/25</p>","shortDescription":"","salaryDescription":"Grade D (SCP 5 -
