The post will involve supporting the learning needs of pupils initially in KS2.\n \nThe ideal candidate will have experience of supporting children across KS2.\n \n We are seeing someone who will:\n<ul>\n<li>Effectively promote the mission, ethos and values of our Catholic school.</li>\n<li>Support the daily routines and requirements of all children.</li>\n<li>Deliver high quality learning experiences.</li>\n<li>Work as an effective team player.</li>\n<li>Have high expectations of all children’s achievement and a commitment to inspiring learners.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills.</li>\n<li>Be flexible and adaptable.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate initiative.</li>\n</ul>\n \nWe would expect you to have:\n<ul>\n<li>Experience of SEN/Intervention strategies.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of Phonics.</li>\n<li>Sound knowledge of the National Curriculum.</li>\n<li>Excellent personal and communication skills.</li>\n<li>GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) at Grade C+.</li>\n<li>Competent IT skills.</li>\n<li>Organisational skills and be able to work independently recording children’s progress.</li>\n<li>A sense of humour (essential).</li>\n</ul>\n \nMain duties are:\n<ul>\n<li>To assist and support the teacher in the delivery of learning activities.</li>\n<li>To help all pupils develop the skills required in all subject areas.</li>\n<li>To assist the Designated Teacher/Support Staff with resource required for any activity.</li>\n<li>Communicate effectively with staff and parents when required.</li>\n</ul>\n \nWe offer a warm and welcoming school where pupils, teachers and support staff all embrace a nurturing environment in which all children and staff are proud of their school.\n \nProspective candidates are firmly encouraged to visit the school.
