The Curriculum Manager for ALS will work within a small team of ALS Curriculum Managers to operate and organise the Additional Learning Support provision for a caseload of students across the group. They will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the delivery of support whilst ensuring a high quality and effective ALS service is provided across the group.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ALS Curriculum Manager will work with a student-focused and student-centric approach to deliver the College Group’s quality improvement strategies and the SEND elements of the current OFSTED framework. The post-holder will develop Teaching, Learning and Assessment improvement strategies in pursuit of an outstanding student experience. They will also lead and be responsible for the performance management of direct reports in order to achieve consistently high outcomes.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>An experienced Additional Learning Support Manager is required within a busy and fast paced department dealing with 200+ High Need Learners on mainstream courses as well as other learners with SEN needs. Applicants must have extensive SEND experience, including working with Local Authorities, chairing and organising annual reviews, implementing support plans as well as managing an ALS team effectively and ensuring the SEND Code of Practice is adhered to. Managing ALS resources and excellent timetabling skills are a must, including managing exam access arrangements at crucial times throughout the academic year. The Curriculum Manager for ALS will also be accountable for ensuring that statutory documentation is completed within the given timeframes.
