Arrange and manage the General Fund Stock condition survey and subsequent work plan. The General Fund Council stock has a wide range of age, from modern new builds back through the ages to a twelfth century castle and includes three listed buildings and a scheduled monument.<br>To be successful in this role you will need to be flexible, well organised and able to ensure all queries and issues arising are dealt with in a timely manner and workloads managed effectively. <br>You should be a fully qualified RICS surveyor ideally with a minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience. Working with your surveying team you will oversee the delivery of both reactive and planned repairs workload in relation to the properties and other assets owned by the Council. In addition, working with our tenant team, you will be responsible for all operational tenant engagement, liaison and support to those who operate from our building along with the Council owned commercial asset properties, which are spread across the United Kingdom and have a value in excess of £350 million. The role also includes the management of the facilities and cleaning team who work across circa 20 sites located around the district. <br>It is essential that you have a ‘can do’ attitude to work, be self-motivated, flexible, take responsibility for a varied workload, be an effective communicator and be committed to team working. Proven management experience is essential.</p>\n<p>To apply, you must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ equivalent related experience.<br>A full driving licence and access to a car available for work is essential.
