The Primary SEN provision caters for pupils who have an Education, Health and Care Plan with their main need being Social, Emotional and Mental Health.\nThe school is currently in a temporary purpose-built provision on the site of The Rowans AP Academy and the school benefits from sharing the resources of the secondary provision.\nCurrently there are four classes of pupils who benefit from a creative and personalised curriculum and a trauma informed approach from all staff. Teachers and pupils are supported by skilled behaviour and learning support assistants.\nAt The Rowans we;\n<ul>\n<li>emphasise the need for the curriculum and teaching to be adapted to each child to meet their individual and diverse needs, with a high pupil to adult ratio.</li>\n<li>support the progress of pupils through daily tailored therapeutic and academic interventions and prioritise emotional well-being and self-regulation whilst identifying academic gaps and ensuring precision teaching to plug the gaps.</li>\n<li>through a nurturing ethos, foster a strong sense of community where children can build positive relationships, learn from one another, and develop essential social skills, emotional regulation and resilience through a trauma informed approach.</li>\n<li>offer high quality teaching from teachers who are trained to deliver high-quality learning that aligns with the national curriculum while being flexible and adaptable to meet the diverse needs of our pupils.</li>\n<li>Promote positive behaviour choices</li>\n<li>believe that parents and carers are essential partners in their child's education.
