We are looking for a playworker who can bring fun, enthusiasm, professionalism and drive to our setting.\n \nYour responsibilities will include: -\n \n<ul>\n<li>Helping prepare and deliver quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment as per the timetable</li>\n<li>Providing comprehensive care for the children</li>\n<li>Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment</li>\n<li>Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met</li>\n<li>Meet and greet the children on arrival</li>\n<li>Administering first aid, when necessary</li>\n<li>Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities</li>\n<li>Facilitating good communication with all team members, parents, children and school</li>\n<li>Undertaking appropriate and relevant training</li>\n<li>Keeping the work environment healthy, safe and secure</li>\n<li>Working within the framework of the school’s policies and procedures</li>\n</ul>\n \nEssential skills required for the role:\n \n<ul>\n<li>Understanding the varied needs of children and their families</li>\n<li>Understanding the issues of equal opportunities</li>\n<li>Provide and facilitate safe play</li>\n<li>Good communication skills</li>\n<li>Able to work as part of a team</li>\n<li>Sound judgement and common sense</li>\n</ul>\n \nPay: Grade 2, SCP 2 - £23,656 per annum plus additional pay for time worked in the holidays.\n \nActual Salary: £5,247 - £12.60 hourly rate (Cheshire West local Living Wage)\n \nOur Club operates Monday to Friday 7.30am-9am (Breakfast Club) and 3.15pm – 6pm. The hours advertised are therefore subject to change depending on demand for our services.
