What You'll Do
As a Youth Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in our Young Persons Project, providing temporary housing and support. You'll:
- Manage a caseload and meet with young people weekly to discuss goals.
- Help them develop life skills and prepare for independent living.
- Support them in finding and securing long-term accommodation.
- Work shifts, including early, late, weekends, and bank holidays, plus occasional sleep-ins.
We're seeking individuals who can connect with young people, offering non-judgmental support and fostering their confidence.
- Experience working with young people aged 16-25 or personal insight into their challenges.
- Ability to handle difficult situations calmly and de-escalate conflicts.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and trauma-informed care is a plus.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Role title: Housing Support Worker / Project Worker.
- Current and future opportunities for both full-time and part-time positions (please note that shifts may include sleep-ins, typically no more than once or twice per week, where you'll stay overnight at the project to provide support as needed).
