We are looking for a forward thinking and enthusiastic Senior Pest Control Officer to join and lead our established Pest Control Team to deliver a high-quality and innovative service.
The post holder will be responsible for all aspects and oversight of the team including supervision of the day to day operations; allocation and scheduling of work including the sewer baiting program; ensuring the teams continued professional competencies and best practices; order and maintain stock and produce reports, costing and schedules. You will be expected to promote, oversee, and explore relevant commercial opportunities.
Pest Control support teams within the Highways & Public Protection Service and adopted an integrated pest management approach to the reduction of rodent and other public health pests across the Borough.
You will be required to collaborate with other Council Services, provide advice, support on all pest issues, and ensure the team undertake treatments on their behalf when required.
The successful candidate will have good organisational skills, be an excellent communicator and be confident in dealing with members of the public, businesses, elected Members, and other agencies. You will act as subject matter expert and need to be able to demonstrate ability to plan/prioritise and sequence multiple and potentially conflicting priorities.
