Reading Borough Council is a Disability Confident Employer and is committed to the recruitment and continued employment of people with disabilities.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>About the role</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>This is a varied role that will enable you to utilise problem solving skills to investigate and take action to deal with domestic anti-social behaviour, hate crime and cuckooing, supporting victims and ensuring appropriate measures are put in place to stop perpetrators. <br><br>You will have the opportunity to work with a range of services and agencies and support the wider objectives of the Community Partnerships Service to reduce anti-social behaviour and support our communities to feel safer and inclusive.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties and responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide a victim centred approach to tackling domestic anti-social behaviour, hate crime and cuckooing, ensuring timely action is taken and prevention, intervention and enforcement measures are appropriately used to secure a positive outcome, with each enquiry and case having a comprehensive, multi-agency action plan.</li>\n<li>Provide support to victims and witnesses, ensuring each action plan sets out measures to support and safeguard them.</li>\n<li>Develop and maintain regular contact and joint working practices with Officers from within the council and partner agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to tackling issues of anti-social behaviour, hate crime and cuckooing.</li>\n<li>Complete and present referrals to relevant problem-solving meetings/panels.</li>\n<li>Support the preparation of and participate in events, PR/media coverage to promote activity carried out by the team.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About you</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>We are looking for an experienced Anti-Social Behaviour Officer with experience of partnership problem solving and providing support to victims of ASB. You will have good organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>You’ll be part of a team that relies on each individual to play their part to the best of their ability.
