You will work as part of the Streetscene Service delivering grounds maintenance and street cleansing duties Boroughwide. </p>\n<p>Duties will include general street cleansing and grounds maintenance operations such as litter removal, grass cutting, bin emptying, mixed border maintenance and fly tip/graffiti removal. </p>\n<p>The job role is based outdoors and involves walking, lifting and the operation of handheld machinery such as pedestrian mowers, strimmers, hedgetrimmers and sucker blowers.</p>\n<p>The job requires an element of independent and flexible working to undertake all tasks associated to maintain the cleanliness and high quality appearance of the environment. </p>\n<p>At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working.  For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time. </p>\n<p>We promote applications from all sections of the community, regardless of background, belief, or identity, recognising the value that diversity brings to our organisation.
