The vacancy
Your typical day will start with you proactively managing a portfolio of accounts, ensuring that all payments are up to date, and manging contact. You might then collaborate with internal teams to support arrears resolution, followed by preparing for a court appearance to represent Peabody in formal debt recovery action. Later, you could be helping a homeowner to access support and guidance.
As a Homeownership Collections Officer, no two days are the same. You'll play a vital role in maximising income recovery whilst also supporting Peabody residents. Whether it's advising on payment methods for new owners, negotiating payment terms, promoting financial wellbeing resources, or handling legal processes for arrears management, your role will be key to ensuring that residents feel supported whilst also meeting their obligations.
You're an excellent communicator and natural problem-solver who thrives on building relationships and resolving issues. You'll work collaboratively delivering exceptional service. You'll need to spend 1 2 days a week in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining time.
Your role will cover all aspects of arrears and account management, from liaising with mortgage lenders and serving statutory notices to helping homeowners who are worried about debt. If you're motivated by achieving tangible results and supporting others, we'd love to hear from you.
