The post holder will also be expected to maintain and further develop the working partnerships between the service and internal / external partners.</p>\n<p>Working as part of the wider Highway Service offers opportunities to be involved in and contribute to a wide range of projects and workstreams.</p>\n<p><strong>About You</strong></p>\n<p>The successful candidate should:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>have demonstrable experience commensurate with the role of Assistant Engineer.</li>\n<li>have suitable experience within Mechanical and Electrical maintenance field.</li>\n<li>Have ability to communicate technical and emotive topics to a wide range of audiences, at all levels.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The post holder should be educated to minimum GCSE/ BTEC level, working towards a HNC in either a Mechanical or Electrical background, interest in both areas would be advantageous.</p>\n<p>This role is a stationary position, based mainly at the office located at the West Service building at the Medway Tunnel. As this building is only accessible via a motor vehicle, it is therefore, essential that the post holder holds a valid driving licence and access to a motor vehicle.</p>\n<p>A mobile phone would be supplied as part of the role.
