Scheme Manager - Reedham House

We have an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dynamic Scheme Manager to join our team at our Young People's Housing Service in Burnham (near Slough).

The Young People’s Housing Service is a dedicated team committed to providing supporting and empowering environments for young people aged 18 – 24 years. Our approach is rooted in the principles of psychologically informed environments (PIE), ensuring that our services are tailored to meet the psychological and emotional needs of those we support. About the role

You will be empowering vulnerable young people to lead independent and fulfilling lives with the support of a network of staff, social workers and other professionals.

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of a service or group of services. You will lead local teams of front-line staff to deliver good quality service, promoting high standards of practice conducive to meeting the needs of the people we support. Enabling them to access education, employment, training opportunities, volunteering as well as healthcare services in order to manage their emotional and physical wellbeing.

Supporting young people can often be challenging but incredibly rewarding. Patience, compassion, resilience and creativity will be crucial in this role where you can make a difference to a vulnerable young person`s life.

We provide a 24 hour service so you must be able to work shifts as part of a rota system which will include weekend and bank holiday working.

You must have a full UK driving licence and access to a car for work.

Please note that a condition of your employment is that you commit to starting the following qualification within one year of joining Hightown:

• Frontline Manger - NVQ Level 5 or equivalent Children and Young Peoples Workforce Diploma
• Sign up to the DBS Update Service
