Sefton Council is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Team Manager to lead our Support & Protect team in Children’s Social Care. In this pivotal role, you will manage, develop, and inspire a team of social workers to deliver high-quality services that safeguard and promote the welfare of those in need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a social work team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
- Manage the reputation of the Service and the Council.
- Respond to new challenges, priorities, and requirements while maintaining statutory obligations.
- Utilise resources effectively to achieve the best outcomes.
- Drive practice development and implement changes into operational service improvement plans.
- Measure actual service delivery against improvement plans.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage resources effectively and respond to changing priorities.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
