This role is seeking an experienced project manager with a depth and breadth of knowledge within the Construction and Development industries. The position will play a key role in our newly established team delivering the most high-profile projects whether that onsite or alongside partnering delivery vehicles. The role will require an agile and experiences person who can find solutions to complex problems and work well within a wider team.
Project Managers will be responsible for delivery of one or more projects in line with approved Project Brief, Business Plan and Budget as assigned by the Development Programme Strategic Lead. Working closely with other Team members, the role is an integral part of the CDT, ensuring effective management, control and delivery of complex projects within the development, construction and property sector.
As part of the CDT you will help lead the delivery of one or more of our high-profile capital construction schemes for the benefit of our residents and visitors. As an experienced and motivated Project Manager you will use your initiative and experience to drive progress, tackle challenges and ensure target outcomes are achieved, acting at all RIBA Plan of Work Stages from Inception to Completion and Handover. We have a robust Medium Term Financial Strategy and huge opportunities due to significant external investments into the district. We need someone who can work across departments to help deliver our capital aspirations and capital financing functions, to help ensure our financial resilience.
You will report to the Development Strategic Lead, working closely with wider stakeholders, both internally and externally to enable the delivery of our Fit for the Future Programme underpinning our Council Plan. This new role will be responsible for line management of the trainee project management and PM support functions within the newly established CDT.
