Do you have the ability to work with us to engage, influence, inform and inspire? Can you support your team and be part of shaping how we deliver services for Adults with Learning Disability and Autism in Sefton?
We have created a new borough-wide social work team to help support adults with a Learning Disability and/or Autism diagnosis who live in Sefton.
In your role as Team Manager you will lead, support and manage this team within the Sefton Adult Social Care Department as well as develop integrated approaches with health colleagues. The team also supports young people making the transition to adulthood within the borough.
We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated individual to fill this role and bring passion, creativity and care to a really fantastic team seeking guidance, support and leadership. You should have an excellent understanding of the Care Act and associated legislation. You will be responsible for key decision making and given the freedom to develop your staff creatively.
You will receive excellent support from your service manager and the wider leadership team.

What we require from you:
- Social Work Degree or equivalent Social Work Qualification
- Current registration with Social Work England
- High aspirations to improve the lives our most vulnerable residents
- Exceptional knowledge of the Care Act
- Ability to manage your own workload and to work independently as well as in a team.
- Ability to make person centred, complex decisions, using evidence-based tools and analysis.
- Ability to provide management and supervision for qualified and unqualified workers and promote their development and high standards of practice.
- Ability to understand and demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity.
- Ability to effectively undertake partnership working with all our stakeholders and further develop these relationships.
- Commitment to your own personal development and professional growth.
