About us
Camden is creating a borough where everyone can thrive. As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you will ensure safe, sustainable housing for residents, going beyond traditional housing management to support tenants and build strong communities.
The role
You will provide proactive housing management, ensuring tenancies are sustained, estates are well maintained, and residents feel supported. This includes resolving tenancy issues, tackling anti-social behaviour, conducting estate inspections, and working closely with internal teams and external partners such as the NHS, Police, and support agencies. Regular presence on estates and in homes is essential to build relationships and address concerns directly. You will also use tenancy enforcement tools where necessary to uphold agreements and ensure compliance with housing regulations.
Beyond day-to-day management, you will contribute to improving services by identifying trends, addressing barriers, and helping shape policy to meet community needs. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
About you
We’re looking for someone proactive, empathetic, and committed to delivering a resident-focused service. You should have a good understanding of tenancy law, housing options, and landlord-tenant responsibilities, as well as experience handling ASB, safeguarding concerns, and tenancy enforcement. Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with digital proficiency to manage case records and analyse trends. A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion is also key.
