We are looking for two Floating Support Workers </span></span></p> <p><span><span>This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping residents achieve independence in their daily lives and to improve their quality of life, through support to access relevant support, as well as access to education, training, and employment services. The Floating Support Service supports vulnerable people across a range of tenures, such as private sector, housing association and council, to resettle into and/ or sustain their tenancies and to prevent them from becoming homeless, should their tenancies be at risk. The service supports residents moving into different tenures across the borough of Camden and in other local boroughs. Working to support households out of temporary accommodation and preventing homelessness.</span></span></p> <p></p> <p><span><span>The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage their own caseload of residents, planning support visits, and conducting assessments with referrers. In addition, you will be responsible for creating an agreed support plan and risk assessment for each resident, which reflects the SMART objectives, leading to the resident’s independence. </span></span></p> <p></p> <p><span><span>This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.</span></span></p> <p></p> <p><span><span><strong>All About You</strong></span></span></p> <p></p> <p><span><span>The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working in a floating support role alongside experience of working with adults who have difficulty living independently, you will have integrity and be committed to working in social care. Furthermore, you will bring an in-depth knowledge of measuring the needs of a customer, which could include low level mental health, substance misuse and poor independent living skills.</span></span></p> <p></p> <p><span><span>You will bring knowledge of the benefits system, excellent communication skills, an empathetic approach to vulnerable people and basic IT skills. You will use your outstanding interpersonal skills, accountability and excellent time management skills and combine this with a proactive approach to supporting people.
