Learning Support Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Temporary until August 2025

Hours: 27.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday) 38 weeks per year (term time)

FTE: 64.02%

Salary: Scale 3.5 - 3.6 (£28,521 - £28,929) Inclusive of Outer London Allowance

Actual Salary: £18,260 - £18,521 p.a Inclusive of Outer London Allowance

We are now looking to appoint passionate and inspiring LSAs to join Benhurst Primary School.

Job Purpose:

The Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is one member of a team of professionals that will include teachers and other teaching assistants. The team works together to care for and educate the pupils in the school. The LSA makes a specific contribution to their specific subject area and / or curriculum contribution to the school teaching and learning programme.

You will:

• Share our commitment to building great learning communities for our pupils

• An understanding of specific learning needs and styles to differentiate support to pupils
• The ability to plan effectively to enable multi-tasking
• A desire to help all pupils succeed
• Compassion towards the needs of the pupils.
• The ability to exchange verbal information clearly and sensitively with pupils and adults
• The ability to work with a range of colleagues
• Work collaboratively across the school
