About the role
The Arboricultural Officer shall;
- Inspect trees according to agreed frequencies
- Carry out minor ground-based tree maintenance works or issue work orders for larger works and ensure they are carried out within their allotted timescales
- When necessary, assist other Council Officers or volunteer groups with minor tree works in the Council’s parks and green spaces
- Respond promptly and professionally to tree related enquiries
- Assist with the maintenance and updating of the Council’s tree management database
- Assist the Senior Arboricultural Officer to deliver tree projects
- Assist with the co-ordination and implementation of tree planting schemes
About you
- We are looking for someone who is certified to level 4 in arboriculture
- With a Lantra Professional Tree Inspection qualification, and has experience in tree inspections
- Has working knowledge of a tree management software system
- Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and Outlook
