Located right in the heart of the Wembley regeneration area and working throughout Brent, we require an experienced Class 2A -2D registered building inspector to complement our existing district surveyors’ team.
You will be responsible for delivering an effective Building Control Service to our customers on various domestic, commercial, and mixed-use projects. You will be expected to take responsibility and administer the surveying requirements for an area of the borough. You will be expected to work on your own dealing with all aspects of building control / regulations inquires and tasks and assist in the supervision of other officers at your grade or below.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, flexible, forward thinking, ambitious and customer focussed surveyors with relevant Building Control knowledge and experience of dealing with Building Regulation applications at plan examination and site inspection stages.
You will need to be an effective communicator with all stakeholders, technically sound with the ability to promote and represent the Building Control service.
Your will support and assist the Service in delivering projects on time, while ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and other statutory requirements.
You will be required to supervise other surveyors and provide training under an agreed structured programme.
You will be encouraged to work towards the BSR Class 3(G/H) and undertake CPD training via the my LABC programme.
You will need a full driving license and the use of a car to undertake the duties.
