This role is a short term contract until the end of March 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a pilot project in Sefton, supported by Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership. As a successful candidate, you will have experience in delivering support and interventions with children. You will have a good understanding of trauma informed practice, the criminal justice system and Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023) arrangements.
You will be based within Sefton’s Police Custody suite and offer immediate support to children who have been arrested and work with children and families to broker relationships and connections with the Youth Justice Service, Early Help and other local agencies. You will also deliver support to children following arrest, within the community. You will have good interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships. You will be required to complete assessments and have good written and IT skills.
