Nursery Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a loyal, committed colleague to work as a Teaching Assistant in our Primary school. We believe our values support the school being a happy community atmosphere based on our key values; Consideration, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.  

As part of the Teacher Assistant role in our school, our Teacher Assistants also cover lunch hour duties; this has really helped our children since they have great respect for Teacher Assistants who encourage the children to develop their social skills whilst eating and play more purposefully.  We have activities on the playground and our Teacher Assistants lead different activities.  

A Growth Mind-set ethos underpins our learning, building on the belief that every child can learn, no 
matter what their starting point. Our school motto is “Yes, I can!” and our children have very positive 
attitudes to learning, particularly when faced with new challenges. We are a one and a half form entry, multi-cultural school and the children’s cultures are celebrated. Some of our children even become Young Interpreters supporting each other in school. 

Children come to our school with a wide range of ability and our provision for SEND and more able children is good. We pride ourselves on our inclusive practice and we have a team of support staff who deliver specialised programmes to support access to learning.
