We can also offer free childcare at the setting for your own primary-aged children.</p>\n<p>The candidate does not need any experience for this role but must have a passion for working with children.</p>\n<p>Main duties include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with the preparation and delivery of quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.</li>\n<li>Prioritise the safeguarding of all children in your care.</li>\n<li>Providing comprehensive care for the children, including greeting them after school and delivering them safely to parents or careers at the end of the day.</li>\n<li>Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.</li>\n<li>Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health, and safety standards are met.</li>\n<li>Administering first aid when necessary.</li>\n<li>Facilitating good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and schools.</li>\n<li>Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.</li>\n<li>Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Using creativity and imagination to deliver innovative activities for children.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Person specification </strong></p>\n<p>Essential qualities:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>A passion for working with children.</li>\n<li>Ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.</li>\n<li>Good communication skills.</li>\n<li>Able to work as part of a team.</li>\n<li>Outstanding punctuality and attendance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Desirable qualities:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Appropriate Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare.</li>\n<li>Experience of working within a play-based setting.</li>\n<li>Ability to work on own initiative.</li>\n<li>Appropriate child protection training.</li>\n<li>Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.</li>\n<li>Food Hygiene Certificate.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Job Type: Part-time Salary: £12.17 per hour</p>\n<p>Contract type and grade: Casual Contract  </p>\n<p>Hours</p>\n<p>After School Club: 3pm-5.30pm (Monday - Friday) 12.5 hours (Term time)</p>\n<p>Additional holiday club hours are available.</p>\n<p>Closing date (and time): Noon Friday 20th December 2024 Interview date: Expected to be Wednesday 13th January 2024  Commencement date: Immediate start (can be negotiated)</p>\n<p>Find out more and apply: Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
