St Philips Church of England Primary School, Litherland, is a one-form entry school located in the north of Liverpool. Our school has a strong sense of community and has very clear Christian values embodied by our mission statement ‘What God has created, we nurture and celebrate in His love.’

Our Mission Statement supports our Christian vision and all we do as a church school community. At St Philip's Church of England Primary School, Christian Values are at the very heart of life in our school. We endeavour to provide a safe, healthy, happy and secure learning community with a stimulating and challenging learning environment. After nine years in the role, our current dedicated and hard working headteacher is retiring and we require a new head from September 2025. The Board of Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational Headteacher. We have a talented and highly committed staff, supportive governors and amazing pupils.

The successful candidate will be someone who is:

• A practising Christian who will lead and develop the Christian ethos of the school.
• An experienced senior leader, with the vision to identify the next steps on our learning journey and the energy, drive and skills to lead and realise this.
• An outstanding role model who is relentlessly committed to the community and improving the lives of the pupils in our care.
• Absolutely committed to ensuring that all children achieve their full potential, regardless of any additional need they may have.
• An inspirational leader able to engage and motivate all stakeholders.
• Able to secure the highest educational standards whilst ensuring a culture and practice of care, wellbeing and support for our staff and pupils.

We will offer the successful candidate a great school to lead, significant support and opportunities for professional development. The school was graded Good by Ofsted in July 2022 and Good in its last SIAMS inspection in November 2023.
