Prevent is a key safeguarding strategy which aims to support those who are at risk of supporting terrorism or becoming a terrorist and we strive to improve awareness, help those at risk and respond to the needs of the county. <br><br><b>About the role</b><br><br> In this operational frontline delivery role you can expect to be responsible for:<ul>\n<li> Supporting county working and building relationships with internal and external partners including schools, police, probation and district councils </li>\n<li> Working closely and collaboratively with all Prevent leads in Hertfordshire to identify gaps and priorities. </li>\n<li> Working with partners in using Counter-Terrorism data and local assessments to build a regional risk picture to inform regional Prevent activities. </li>\n<li> Working with partner local authorities to share good practice, supporting them develop and update regional risk assessments and action plans. </li>\n<li> Developing and delivering training to partners and in community settings across the county where gaps have been identified. </li>\n<li> Developing a sustainable Prevent communications strategy that is bespoke to a range of audiences, both statutory and non-statutory. </li>\n<li> Engaging with local communities, institutions and priority groups across the county to consult, encourage a better understanding of Prevent, and engage them in relevant Prevent activity. </li>\n<li> Developing an awareness of, and relationships with, local community and voluntary organisations, and institutions across the region. </li>\n<li> Support the development of project bids as a county and with local authorities, and coordinate the delivery of these projects </li>\n<li> Support with wider regional projects </li>\n</ul><br><b>About you</b><br><br> <strong>Essential </strong><ul>\n<li> Experience in Programme delivery and management </li>\n<li> Experience in delivering training </li>\n<li> Experience working with young people </li>\n<li> Demonstrable understanding of Prevent and/or involvement with delivery or managing of the Prevent duty within organisations </li>\n<li> Experience in community engagement or working in the voluntary sector </li>\n<li> Ability to build strong working relationships with statutory partners </li>\n<li> Strong IT skills </li>\n<li> Ability to travel across the county to deliver services </li>\n</ul><strong>Desirable </strong><ul>\n<li> Experience in bid writing </li>\n<li> An understanding of the wider Counter-Terrorism Strategy (CONTEST) </li>\n</ul><br><br>This job role is within the Project & Programme level 11 job profile.
