Site Service Officer - SSO

BARCLAY PRIMARY SCHOOL, London – Leyton/Walthamstow (On-Site)

£29,346 - £31,074 (depending on experience)

We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and self-motivated Site Service Officer to work across
both our sites on a split shift rotation, under the direction of the Facilities Manager and Head of School .The successful candidate should be willing to contribute towards the effective provision
of a clean and safe school and be prepared to be working in a very busy environment. You will be expected to carry out statutory building and health & safety compliance checks. You will need to
be committed to working between the early hours of the morning and late evenings to secure the building. Additionally, you will have the flexibility to work some weekends, when needed.
It is essential that you have a flexible approach, are self-motivated and show initiative, a positive image of the site through your work, maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
The ideal candidate will:
• Demonstrate a commitment to working with the Head and Facilities Manager to ensure our schools are always the best they can be.
• Be hardworking and flexible with a can-do attitude
• Have the capacity to problem solve in a calm and professional manner and a willingness to learn new skills.
• Be able to identify and prioritise tasks
• Have a good standard of DIY skills in joinery, plumbing, painting and general maintenance
• Have an awareness of health and safety requirements
• Be a team player and have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Understand the importance of confidentiality and following safeguarding and other policies
