An exciting opportunity has opened at Brent Housing Management for a Major Works Manager to join us managing multi-million-pound projects.

About the post
As Major Works Manager you’ll oversee the commissioning and delivery of planned maintenance projects with a budget of around £12 million, ensuring the improvement of our housing services and delivering great value for money.
You’ll ensure compliance with statutory approvals, health & safety regulations, and quality standards. Further, you drive improvements to the service, developing key performance indicators and overseeing capital budgets to ensure effective financial management.
You’ll also be required to build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and teams across the Service.
You will also uphold the guidelines set out by the Social Housing Regulation Act 2023, demonstrating a commitment to improving standards and ensuring the safety and quality of our social housing in compliance with this critical legislation.
The ideal candidate
You’ll hold a degree level education or equivalent relevant experience, with full professional membership of CIOB or RICS.
You’ll have demonstrable experience in managing major works projects in the social housing sector, aided by strong project management and organisational skills.
It is essential to have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for success in this role. You should also be able to analyse and evaluate complex information, providing sound advice to colleagues across the Council.
