You must be physically able to undertake moving and handling, have the use of a vehicle with business use insurance and will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.<br><br>In this role, you may be required to undertake sleep-in duties and may be required to be on the On-call rota.<br><br><strong>Please note, this role will be part time, contracted 25 hours a week</strong><br><br><strong>The location</strong><br><br>You will work in our Ryde Village scheme, based in Ryde, Isle of Wight<br><br><strong>What you'll be doing </strong><ul> <li>Provide care to residents and people who use our services, as identified in their person-centred care plan. This may include some intimate personal care.</li> <li>Deliver care in a way which promotes independence, rights, choices, and inclusion in the community.</li> <li>Summon professional assistance in the case of an emergency.</li> <li>Practice within the criteria set out in the Care Quality Commission standards ensuring residents have an up-to-date care plan and risk assessment which reflects their individual needs and wishes.</li>\n</ul><strong>What you'll need </strong><ul> <li>Hold 5 GCSE passes at grade C or above (or equivalent Grade 9-5) inc Maths & English</li> <li>Ability to listen and communicate effectively</li> <li>Good written communication and numeracy skills</li> <li>Basic IT skills</li> <li>Driving licence and access to a vehicle</li> <li>Able to work both as part of a team and also unsupervised</li> <li>Knowledge of personal boundaries</li> <li>Understanding of the requirements of CQC</li>\n</ul><strong>Benefits in working with us</strong><br><br>As a trusting and competitive provider of care and support services on the Island, we can provide you with paid travel time, generous mileage and holiday allowance, paid DBS and training as well as health benefits package.
