An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Knowsley's Care Experienced People Team to provide advice, support and guidance to young people preparing to leave care and meet the responsibilities of the local authority for young people aged 16 to 25 who have entitlement to services as identified in the Children Leaving Care Act (2000).
Personal Advisors play a key role supporting young people with their transition to adulthood and assists them to live an independent life in their community.
Personal Advisors befriend and maintain positive relationships with young people to support them to prepare for adulthood; working proactively with partner agencies to assess individual needs, seek positive outcomes in line with our joint corporate parenting responsibilities.
You will be required to deliver high quality support for young people, managing existing and future risks through assessment, and creating plans that place the young person's wishes and aspirations at the centre.
