Do you have a passion for education and a desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults and young people? We're seeking a dedicated Teacher Practitioner to join our team and help shape the future of skills and tailored learning.
In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching and training sessions to adult learners, manage and develop comprehensive learning programmes, and prepare detailed schemes of work and session plans. You'll also use Information Learning Technology (ILT) to enhance learning experiences. Additionally, you will apply your knowledge of equality issues and practices to foster an inclusive learning environment and implement safeguarding practices to maintain a safe educational space.
We are looking for teachers with knowledge, skills and flexibility to teach in more than one of our curriculum areas: English, ESOL, maths, Employability, Family Learning, Adult Social Care, Early Years, Teaching Assistant, Business Admin and Customer Service.

About you
We're looking for someone who is not just qualified but passionate about teaching and community learning. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience working with adults and young people in teaching or training roles. Experience in managing learning programmes with high standards of preparation is essential.
Strong communication skills, especially the ability to engage with adult learners empathetically, are a must. You should be able to converse fluently in English, providing effective help or advice. A deep understanding of quality assurance processes and the importance of monitoring the learner journey is crucial. We value a keen awareness of equality issues impacting adult learning, as well as in-depth knowledge of specialist curriculum and qualifications available for adults. Some experience in embedding English and maths into learning programmes is beneficial.
We require a minimum Level 4 teaching qualification, or that you are currently working towards it. A minimum Level 3 qualification in your area of specialism is also necessary. Ideally, you will have an Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement (A1), or be working towards it. Lastly, a minimum Level 2 qualification in English and maths is essential.
