Take an analytic approach to the measurement of student progress and attainment.</li>\n<li>To provide systematic and effective support which promotes, monitors and evaluates the quality of teaching and the impact on individual / cohort attainment and achievement.</li>\n<li>Ensure, where relevant, that students have access to accreditation to support progression to post16-18 provision at a level appropriate to their previous attainment.</li>\n<li>Lead teacher Performance Management Reviews and Teaching Assistant Appraisals.</li>\n<li>To provide professional development, leadership and management to teachers and school staff, working directly with students, ensuring that the relevant programmes of professional development are enabled and facilitated to ensure continued improvement and raised standards.</li>\n<li>Secure a rigorous system of quality assurance to make sure all deadlines are consistently met (E.g. Annual Reviews, STO’s, Behaviour plans).</li>\n<li>Report at least termly to SMT and the FGB, attending Governing Board meetings.</li>\n<li>Together with other members of the Leadership Team, work to ensure all Health and Safety arrangements are effectively actioned, including child protection, all aspects of safeguarding, well-being and student behaviour.</li>\n<li>To work closely with Parents, Carers and external agencies E.g. Young Persons service.</li>\n<li>Lead and chair statutory annual reviews following the new Code of Practice through Education Health Care Plans (EHCP’s) in order to secure positive transition to identified pathways.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>In addition to carrying out the professional duties of a classroom teacher you will be provided with additional management time to enable you to fulfil the duties and responsibilities of this post. School will endeavour to provide a level of PPA that reflects the number of pupils within the KS.</p>\n<p>Teachers are invited to apply in writing, expressing their interest in becoming KS3 or 5 manager, highlighting in their letter of application why they feel capable of this role and providing written evidence of any initiatives, contributions and / or projects that they have instigated, introduced / led at school.</p>\n<p>Within an expression of interest, applicants are encouraged to consider the person specification for the KS manager role.</p>\n<p>Our school community places the highest priority on keeping children safe.
