Charnwood is a vibrant borough with a population of 184,000 and a mix of market towns and attractive conservation villages. Charnwood’s busy Development Management team processes in excess of 2,500 planning applications each year of all types, with a vison to improve the economy, quality of life and environment as set out in our adopted Development Plan.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and organised planning professional with significant experience of preparing development plan policies and in their implementation, to be part of the local plans team. The local plan is in the final stages of examination and is due to be adopted towards the end of the year. You will be actively involved in the preparation of a suite of Supplementary Planning Documents, to support the plans implementation.
What we are looking for?
You will have experience of dealing with major and more complex planning policy issues and be able to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide variety of people including other agencies and organisations. You will hold a degree in Town and Country Planning and have full membership of the RTPI.
