The Role:
- Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children and their families? Do you thrive in a dynamic and stimulating environment where every day is different? If so, the role of Family Link Worker may be the perfect fit for you! We are seeking a dedicated, proactive, and compassionate Family Link Worker who is committed to supporting families and creating positive change in the lives of children under five
- Develop and deliver early learning sessions for families, observing children’s development and planning activities to foster growth and address areas of need
- Extend your support into the home, guiding parents through Peep, Play at Home & various other programs to create a positive learning environment and ensure their children are ready to transition to nursery or school
- Collaborate with local schools, nurseries, and community settings to provide a range of services that promote children's learning and development, with a particular focus on speech, language, and communication skills
- Provide direct support to children and families facing a range of challenges, developing targeted intervention plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies as part of the Early Help offer
- Facilitate a variety of parenting courses such as You and Me Mum, Nurture Programme, Baby Massage, and Welcome to Play (training will be provided)
- Complete evaluation reports and case studies to track progress, celebrate achievements, and help shape future service delivery We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual who is passionate about supporting children and families
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with parents and caregivers, encouraging cooperation and positive outcomes for their children
- The ability to observe, plan, and deliver engaging and effective learning sessions for children under five
- A commitment to working in partnership with local schools, nurseries, and community services to ensure the best possible opportunities for young children
